SPENCER MACK BIO. & CV

Born Spencer Maynard Mack in Cambridge, Massachusetts 1791; Spencer Mack then grew up in Tacoma Park, Maryland. His early inclination to walk on railroad tracks and collect the glass insulators strung along the abandoned telegraph lines would provide excellent  basic shapes from which to develop ones basic drawing skills.

His work now deals with exploring the relationship of two colliding waves of energy. Be they solid against liquid or solid against fire it is the initial impact that is examined. Not unlike the way ones perception of time slows during a traumatic event; the moments of grace preceding destruction are where both his interests and sensibilities lie. His work with both cars and trains revolves around this moment when relationships seem to bend both time and scale in their unholy union.

Spencer Mack now lives and works in San Francisco ,Ca.
