Robert Minervini - Artist Statement & CV
Return to Robert Minervini - A Means to an End
Artist Statement
I work primarily with acrylic and oil paint on canvas, creating works of varying scale that evoke ideas of the sublime and our contemporary relationship with nature and urban landscapes. I generate my imagery by fusing together images from an archive of photographs. drawing, and literature which I utilize to create a visual interpretation of an invented psychological space. My experience with collaborative mural making has contributed to my interest in the ways audiences add to the narrative of a painting, both as viewers and a collaborators.
Robert Minervini was born in 1981 in Secaucus, New Jersey. He currently resides in San Francisco, CA.
