Artist’s Statement

Often my pieces address the awkward aspects of human relationships, intimacy and desire. I keep a note pad with me at all times. Everything or nothing may interest me, intrigue, or allure me.  The bits construct a common language and then, perhaps, I subvert it. The not so difficult to fathom, cartoon captions have made there way in. I am a fan of Jim Davis' line quality. A particular Garfield strip seemed perfectly relevant in portraying the tug of war with the mundane.* So interesting to happen upon this while stuck at work, longing for my own time.
