Mat O'Brien lives and works in San Francisco. His illustrations seem to begin with an anecdotal commentary, perceived through the eyes of a dedicated observer. Painstakingly detailed lines and abstract prose, merge with elements of graphic design, paper cut outs, and sometimes borrowed imagery. The finished result blends together into a dissonant collage, to from a distinct visual language. He also enjoys drinking dragon well tea, and caring of houseplants.
